The next "Getting to Know Your Neighbors Business" Event will be held on July 12 and the participating businesses will be announced soon.

The Aiken Downtown Development Association’s Membership Committee organized the first "Getting to Know Your Neighbors Business" Event. The event was held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, from 6-7 pm.
The first three neighborhood featured hosts were: Café Rio Blanco, Nandina Home & Design and Chris's Camera Center
The event was an opportunity for ADDA members to tell other members about their business, get to know each other and build a referral base. Each featured business owner told guests about things that may not be
commonly known about their business.
Van Smith of Lionel Smith, Ltd. mentioned that after a brief visit to Nandina that he was amazed at all the things they (Nandina) had. “I thought
they just carried furniture,” Smith said. He will definitely be referring
his customers to their store. (Van Smith may be contacted for more detailed
