Barbranne Clinton makes her clients smile! On Tuesday, June 22nd, the Aiken Downtown
Development Association had the privilege of awarding Clinton, a stylist at
Hair Knowlogy, with the Smiles Award.
Customers in downtown Aiken can nominate the employees of any ADDA member
business for the Smiles Award by calling the office or by visiting the ADDA’s website.
Nominations are compiled throughout a quarter, and the employee with the most
accolades wins the award.
One of Clinton’s nominators wrote, “She is an excellent hair stylist. She listens to
her clients and strives to give a great color and cut -- which she does. She makes
herself available as a volunteer in the community as well, doing hair for students in
school plays as well as the Community Theatre. She is always cheerful and upbeat
and it is a pleasure to be in her company. I look forward to seeing Barbranne and
visiting with her almost as much as I look forward to having her color and cut my hair.”
Barbranne has been nominated in previous quarters,” said ADDA administrative
assistant, Jamie Turner. “This time, she received the majority of the nominations. It was a pleasure surprising her with the award!”
A teary-eyed Clinton was presented with a certificate and a gift bag that held contributions from other downtown businesses. Contributors to this quarter’s bag included: Aiken Community Playhouse, The Augusta Chronicle, Carolina First, Connie’s Framing, The Curiosity Shop, Hotel Aiken, Lionel Smith, Ltd, Security Federal and Tea Garden Gifts.
Clinton invites everyone to Hair Knowlogy to have a cut, color and style and view their own line of products. She also specializes in eyebrow waxing and eyebrow and eyelash tinting. Hair Knowlogy is located at 217 Park Avenue, SE in downtown Aiken.
Previous winners of the Smiles Award are Willie Mae Alexander from ACTS and Tracy Polk from Connie’s Framing.
