Guided Tour of Historic Rose Hill Estate

Rose Hill is a preserved garden estate that encompasses a walled city block located in the historic district of Old Aiken on the highest elevation, just two blocks from the commercial district. The estate, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, features a glorification of mature trees, over 100 species of plants on over 4 acres of gardens, a 10,000 sq. ft. Shingle Style Dutch Colonial "Winter Cottage" built in 1900, rose gardens, chapel, gazebo, Art Center, Stables, 3 addition cottages, a tent are and garden benches and fountains. One-hour tours by appointment, $7.00 per person, wine and beer available in Sheffield's Bar and Clubroom.
