Aiken Community Playhouse Presents "The Drowsy Chaperone"
May 24, 25, 31 and June 1, 7, 8 at 8:00pm
May 26 & June 2 at 3:00pm
One of the most original shows ever to hit the stage, The Drowsy Chaperone is a show-within-a-show. It all begins when a die-hard musical theatre fan plays the cast album of his favorite show, only to have the musical literally burst to life and play out its' plot in his living room. As he watches the tale of the brazen Broadway starlet trying to find and keep her true love, our musical theater fan is torn between being a mere observer and interjecting his own footnotes about his life. This homage to American musicals of the Jazz Age is unlike any other show you have ever seen and is guaranteed to make you laugh, cheer, and tap your toes. Contains adult situations, language and themes. For tickets: 803.648.1438 or visit www.aikencommunityplayhouse.com

Aiken Community Playhouse Presents "Twelve Angry Men"
June 21, 22, 28 and 29 at 8:00pm
Sunday, June 30 at 3:00pm
The case seemed open-and shut and the twelve jurors have adjourned to do their civic duty. However, one juror isn’t so sure of the defendant’s guilt and begins to open the others’ eyes to some key facts in the case. As the debate progresses, tempers get short, arguments grow heated and the jurors become twelve angry men. An American dramatic classic that sheds new light on every era in which it is performed. Adapted by Sherman Sergel and based on the Emmy award-winning television movie by Reginald Rose. Contains some adult themes.
